Selected Playwriting Highlights

• AYNA (The Mirror) – 2004

Selected by British Council Playwriting Program. Early psychological drama, structured as a solo-performed monologue, exploring identity, self-reflection and inner conflict.

VICIOUS CIRCLE  (Kısır Döngü) 2005

Staged in 2007 at the British Council Playwrights’ Festival, Akbank Art and Garaj İstanbul.
A cyclical dramatic structure focusing on emotional repetition and human behavioral patterns.

The play portrays a woman trapped in a 15-year marriage marked by continuous cycles of psychological and physical violence.
The one-and-a-half-hour monodrama unfolds the inner architecture of abuse, revealing how a violent system sustains itself through silence, shame and emotional conditioning.

Rather than treating violence as a single “act” committed by a man against a woman, Vicious Circle challenges the audience with a deeper question:
Is violence merely a personal pathology, or is it a socially inherited mechanism sustained by cultural, familial and emotional structures?

• KUMA (Co-Wife) – 2006/ 2007

A socio-psychological drama examining traditional structures, feminine interiority and the emotional architecture of family systems.

• ÇEYREK ELMA Quarter Apple) Film Script

The play reflects Türkiye’s peace-process climate by opening a dialogue between Kurdish and Turkish identities through an intimate relationship story.

• DREAM BUTTERFLIES  / Düş Kelebekleri Series (2009–2014)

Fifteen-part dramatic literary universe.
Translated into English, Romanian, Kurdish, Zazaki, Russian.

• DIYARBAKIR  PLAYS 2012/ 2013

A six-part dramatic composition exploring cultural identity, collective memory and the emotional landscapes of a transforming city.

The cycle includes:
Pré-Play / Stoning, Şemse / The Mayor,
Mass Grave, The Pit, The Stand, The Wall / Chess.

Each piece examines a different fragment of regional memory—ritual, authority, gender, trauma, resistance and the fragile geometry between personal destiny and collective history.
Together, they form a narrative mosaic of Diyarbakır’s cultural psyche and its layered social realities.

Six-part dramatic composition depicting cultural identity, social memory and urban emotional landscapes.

• SET (Short Play)
